friendly against SMU.
Hey Adroits, just a short one about yesterday's game. I hope that there will be some improvements in terms of seriousness and respect in both training and games.
*respect your opponents, and your opponent will respect you in return.
put yourselves in your opponent's shoe, how will you all feel when your opponent does not treat a game seriously?
some things to improve on.
-ball watching: by watching the ball, you will not know where your opponent is running to. it can lead to a goal conceded. that's why, Coach will always tell you not to ball watch, catch your players instead. (defenders take blind sides, centers take top D, forwards take running players/opponent's defenders, at the end of the day everyone will have a player to mark.)
-step up: your girls need to step up to your opponent faster before they take a shot, so you can help afiqah every shots count.
-be first to the ball: every 50-50 ball, run to the ball instead of the opponent getting it first. ask yourselves, is it better to defend or attack first?
-passes through the centers: it' very dangerous when you play through the center, because it's easier for the opponent to break in during counter attacks. So pass down the line instead. *harder passes please.
-support your line mates: forwards and centers have to do the runs, in order not to have those passes into the center area. (forwards need to support each other down the boards to make the play smoother.)
-*forwards remember to screen the keeper by standing in front of them so that you will be able to contribute to a goal by not letting the keeper see where the ball is.
-Communicate on court, to allow your line mate to know where are you at.
1.talk
2.discus
3.make it work
these 3 will help you to find out what to do during games like pol-ite or iv in future. use it during training and it will help you girls to improve.
